Happy Northern Birthday

Hello my beautiful people,

It was my first white birthday; I was very excited!

The weekend leading up to my birthday was a great one. My co-worker Emily took me on a drive to show me some of her favourite spots. Beautiful scenery with the snow. She took me to another lake which was amazing. The wilderness out here is breath taking. I wish I could sit for hours watching the wilderness, but you always need to be aware of wildlife which takes away a bit to your inner tranquility.

Emily organised a lunch with home-made burgers which were delicious. I always feel lucky out here when I get to eat something that is home-made or a recipe from home. However, what I did not know, is that Emily baked a brownie birthday cake! It was delicious! The name of the cake was "PMS" - which was perfectly timed too ;).

It was a lovely weekend!

On Monday, October 19, 2020 waking up to a snow on the ground felt special. I arrived at school and my office door was decorated with balloons and a banner. Monday night, my cousin and her partner made dinner for me, and spoiled me with a carrot cake and some presents!

It was special being up here for my birthday and also have some classes sing Happy Birthday to me. Made my heart melt! I never worked on my birthday in the past believe it or not and this is not a place where I regret working on my birthday!

Received my Ninja Foodi (thank you Mom & Dad!), it will be a game changer in my cooking. Wild horses come and go and they are always so beautiful and magical to see. Completed my giraffe painting, onto my Panda painting now!
